it's been a very long time away ..

i have been depriving my blog and the small amount of readers i probably have because although i love reading blogs sometimes I'm just not in the mood to write my own.  Anyways since all the holidays are over and a new year is about to begin i decided i should make it a point to writing once a day or at least once a week to keep things updated!

Well Christmas has just passed and Cody got tons of toys from everyone but for some odd reason he doesn't seem to be interested in any of them much.  He'll play with them for a few seconds and move on ... and not to another toy .. to bothering me instead.  I hate to call it "bothering" but more so being needing for my attention.  He is such an attention whore, i hate to say .. but he cannot seem to entertain himself for more then 5 minutes.  Christmas seemed to pass by so quickly this year and i was so much more excited because i thought it would be fun for Cody.  Too bad he didn't seem to care much .. not even about opening all his gifts.  Sigh .. maybe next year!

Cody has been so bad lately!!!  CANNOT sit still for a can of beans anywhere!  Can't go out to eat, can't push him around the mall in his stroller, and all he does is cry and scream when he doesn't get his way.  I try not to give in .. but it seems like nothing works!  Not yelling, not a slap on the hand, not time out, not the sturn look!!  This little boy has a BIG  attitude for such a small guy .. I don't know how he's gonna be as time passes but i hope it doesn't get much worse then this!

my very first blog!

soo .. i found myself reading random people's blogs mainly to do with family life, food, and party planning and i thought to myself  WHY DON'T I START ONE OF MY OWN! So here i am starting my very first blog and my very first entry!

It's been extremely HOT these past few days, in the 100s.  Very strange weather to be having in November but only in California do things like this happen huh? So the past few days i haven't been able to do much with Cody because its just too darn HOT to go anywhere! But today i was determined to do something to get him out of the house and although we got out it wasn't for very long.  My plan failed but we did come home with new bed sheets for Cody.  Last night i didn't get much sleep, i kept tossing and turning all night so as i awoke early in the am and couldn't go back to sleep i saw that pottery barn kids had curious george sheets for his crib.  Being that we call him monkey and have been assuming Cody will love monkeys because i went monkey craze for his first year, i thought the sheets would be perfect. (plus he needed a change)  Got to PBK and picked up the sheets and he hated them.  He kept nodding "NO" the whole time and pushed them out of my hands no matter how may times i tried to convince him that they were cute and had monkeys all over them it didn't change his mind!  So i took him around the whole store and he ended up choosing train sheets.  They are very cute but i was so stuck on those curious george sheets.  In the end as long as Cody's happy then I'm happy!!  Will show pic soon!  Came home right after and tried to get Cody to nap but he wouldn't so ended up having to drive around and got lunch.  Went to see my cousin Sean's football game, was way too hot to sit out there for long so came home and took a well deserved nap.  Had MCD for dinner went to auntie moui's to watch daddy play poker, came home and put the little guy to sleep!
